Annette B. says...Nita, Great site! Great Job!
this is a great Job. In uganda we are running with the awareness through rotary clubs.
I just read something and I would like to know. I did stem cell banking when I got my baby girl four months back. However My baby is also a carrier, do you think the marrow transplant can work??
Thanks Nita

I'm doing a research project on Sickle Cell Anemia for one of my classes. Everything that is tied into it is just mind blowing and i've learned alot just from this site alone. I just wanted to tell everyone who is diagnosed to stay strong and determined. Life isn't about the number of days but how you lived them. Enjoy life, and let nothing limit you or stop you from achieving your goals. My nephew is a carrier so I'm very interested in helping to donate a bone marrow.
-God bless all, Carmen

I'm a 34 year old survivor living with the taunting episodes of Sickle Cell Anemia Disease. The disease has taken me down many dark roads, but never a dead end. I'm still here and thankful for my life today.:)
