I'm doing a research project on Sickle Cell Anemia for one of my classes. Everything that is tied into it is just mind blowing and i've learned alot just from this site alone. I just wanted to tell everyone who is diagnosed to stay strong and determined. Life isn't about the number of days but how you lived them. Enjoy life, and let nothing limit you or stop you from achieving your goals. My nephew is a carrier so I'm very interested in helping to donate a bone marrow.

I'm a 34 year old survivor living with the taunting episodes of Sickle Cell Anemia Disease. The disease has taken me down many dark roads, but never a dead end. I'm still here and thankful for my life today.:)
